Dopo il diploma presso il Liceo Artistico A. Frattini di Varese, ottengo il titolo di maestra di Pittura presso la “Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera” di Milano; completo gli studi con un corso di grafica pubblicitaria in “Ateneo” e con due stage sulla tecnica dell’acquaforte alla Scuola Internazionale di Grafica a Venezia e a Urbino. Successivamente seguo corsi sulle tecniche del Patchwork e del Quilt.
Dal 1989 al 1994 divento Responsabile Ufficio Studi di Lindt & Sprungli; tengo i contatti con i fornitori e le agenzie di pubblicità, seguo lo svolgersi dei cataloghi e delle varie campagne pubblicitarie, studio il packaging di svariati prodotti dell’azienda.
Dal 1994 divento libera professionista e continuo a collaborare con Lindt & Sprungli, partecipo alla realizzazione della rivista per bambini “Tom & Jerry” di Egmont Publishing; approfondisco varie tecniche per la realizzazione di oggetti “Fai da te”.
Dal 2003 al 2005 collaboro con Pulsa per l’edizione di “New Ort Magazine” di Esselunga.
Dal 2003 al 2010 collaboro con Studio Chiesa realizzando giochi in cartapesta e tecniche varie per le seguenti riviste: “Art Attack Magazine” di Walt Disney, “Barbie Magazine” di Mattel, Mondo Roditore “Idee stratopiche da tagliare, incollare, dipingere!” e Mondo Roditore “Giochi e feste” di Geronimo Stilton di Piemme.
Nel 2011 pubblico il mio primo libro per bambini: “Lila e Lillà” - Una storia per leggere, costruire, giocare e…sognare insieme a Lila e Lillà! edito da Salviati; ideando e realizzando personaggi, scenografie e illustrazioni.
Nel 2012 realizzo per il FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano), il Progetto di Educazione Ambientale per la Scuola dell’Infanzia ideando e realizzando i personaggi e le scenografie di: R come Ricerco, Rifletto, Riduco, Riciclo e…guarda come mi diverto! Sponsorizzato dal Ministero dell’ Ambiente e della tutela del Territorio e del Mare.
Nel 2013 partecipo alla trasmissione “Detto Fatto” su Rai2 come Tutor “Fai da te” e da questo anno incomincio a collaborare con la “Biblioteca Comunale” di Induno Olona, attraverso laboratori artistici per bambini.
Nel 2014, oltre a proseguire l’attività didattica in Scuole Materne e Scuole Primarie, tengo corsi di decorazione per la tavola presso l’Istituto Alberghiero “De Filippi” di Varese.
Vinco il Premio “Viola Fidapa” 2014 dal tema: “Per fare un prato, creatività e comunicazione al femminile”. La Fidapa BPW Italy Sezione di Varese riconosce il merito e il contributo di donne che con stile sobrio si sono distinte nella vita sociale, professionale e artistica.
Nel 2015 presento la mostra didattica: “Le Creazioni di Nadia Chiesa con carta, colla, colori per Imparare – Educare – Giocare” realizzata con la collaborazione e il patrocinio di Fidapa BPW Italy e il Comune di Varese, all’interno del Salone Estense. Esposizione di personaggi, ambientazioni, illustrazioni e artworks realizzati per magazine e libri per l’editoria infantile oltre che per laboratori didattici.
Nel 2015, progetto e conduco per “Choco Festival di Lindt & Sprungli: “Entra e costruisci il tuo SEGNAPOSTO e il CESTINO Gold Bunny”, attività aperta a tutti i bambini.
Nel 2018, realizzo e allestisco nella Biblioteca Comunale di Induno Olona la mostra: “2013/2018 – 5 anni di Activity” con i manufatti realizzati per i laboratori per bambini e Il concorso: “Disegna il segnalibro più bello per la tua biblioteca!” con materiale pubblicitario.
Dallo stesso anno inizio un nuovo percorso denominato: “L’Esperienza dell’Arte per bambini”; un viaggio di scoperta, guidato, per sensibilizzare e avvicinare il bambino all’arte e alle sue tecniche pittoriche.
Nel 2019 tengo un Workshop di decorazione nella Biblioteca Comunale di Induno Olona: con la partecipazione di 160 cittadini a partire dai tre anni fino all’età adulta.
Nel 2022 pubblico il mio secondo libro per bambini: “Il Mio Mondo di Carta“ edito da EricksonLive; ideando tanti giochi fai-da-te per tutti i bambini che amano giocare con CARTA, colla e colori!
Ad oggi proseguo l’attività con laboratori artistici presso:
- Biblioteca Comunale di Induno Olona,
- Scuole Materne e Primarie,
- persone portatrici di handicap per migliorare e coordinare i movimenti delle mani,
- corsi per adulti.
After graduating from the Art School A. Frattini in Varese (Italy), I got the qualification of Master of Fine Arts at the “Academy of Fine Arts of Brera” in Milan; I completed my studies with a course in graphic design at the “Ateneo”, trainings on the etching technique in Venice and Urbino and postgraduate courses on Patchwork and Quilt.
From 1989 to 1994 I was in charge of the Research Department at Lindt & Sprungli, keeping in touch with suppliers and advertising agencies, following the development of their catalogs and advertising campaigns, working out the packaging of the various products.
Since 1994 I have been working as a freelancer and I have continued working for Lindt & Sprungli, furthermore, I have taken part in the production of the children’s magazine “Tom & Jerry” by Egmont Publishing; I have also expanded and improved several techniques for the creation of “do it yourself” objects.
From 2003 to 2005 I worked for Pulsa for the edition of “New Ort Magazine” by Esselunga.
From 2003 to 2010 I collaborated with Studio Chiesa creating papier-mâché games and other different techniques for the following magazines: “Art Attack Magazine” by Walt Disney, “Barbie Magazine” by Mattel, “Idee stratopiche da tagliare, incollare, dipingere!” (major ideas to cut, paste and paint) by Mondo Roditore and Geronimo Stilton’s “Giochi e feste” (Games and parties) by Piemme.
In 2011 I published my first children’s book, “Lila & Lilla’” – A story to read, build, play and … dream together with Lila and Lillà! published by Salviati, where I designed, created characters, scenes, and illustrations.
In 2012, I collaborated with FAI (Italian Environment Fund) carrying out the Environment Education Project for the kindergarten school, designing and creating the characters and settings of R like I Reach, I Reflect, I Reduce, I Recycle and… what fun! sponsored by the Ministry for the Environment and for Land and Sea conservation.
In 2013 I have participated in the TV program “Detto Fatto” on Rai 2 as a Tutor “Fai da te”(DIY); then I start to work with the Library of Induno Olona, creating art workshops for children.
In 2014, in addition to teaching in kindergartens and primary schools, I lead courses of decoration for the table at the “De Filippi” Institute of Varese.
I also won the “Viola Fidapa” Prize 2014, themed “To make a lawn, creativity, and communication for women”. The Fidapa BPW Italy Section of Varese recognizes the merit and the contribution of women who have distinguished themselves with elegant style in their social, professional and artistic life.
In 2015 I presented the didactic exhibition: “The Creations of Nadia Chiesa with paper, glue, colors for Learning – Educating – Playing“, it was realized with the collaboration and patronage of Fidapa BPW Italy and the Municipality of Varese, inside the Estense Building. Exhibition of characters, illustrations, and artworks made for magazines and books for children as well as for educational workshops.
In 2015, I design and lead for the “Choco Festival of Lindt & Sprungli: “Enter and build your SIGNAPOSTO and the CESTINO Gold Bunny“, an activity open to all children.
In 2018, I realized and set up in the Municipal Library of Induno Olona the exhibition: “2013/2018 – 5 years of activity” with artifacts made for children’s workshops and The competition: “Draw the most beautiful bookmark for your library!” with advertising material.
From the same year I started a new path called: “The Experience of Art for Children“; a guided journey of discovery, to raise awareness and bring the child to art and its painting techniques.
In 2019, Workshop of decoration in the Municipal Library of Induno Olona: with the participation of 160 citizens from three years old to adulthood.
In 2022 I published my second children’s book: “Il Mio Mondo di Carta” published by EricksonLive; creating many DIY works for all children who love playing with PAPER, glue and colours!
Today I continue the activity with artistic workshops at:
- Municipal Library of Induno Olona,
- Nursery and primary schools,
- disabled people to improve and coordinate hand movements,
- courses for adults.
